Paramita Panda, Vice Chairperson, UMSL Limited – an Economics Honours graduate from BJB college and a Masters with gold medal in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Utkal University, Odisha. She started her journey as a Human Resource professional at Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd. (IMFA), in the year 1986. Her entrepreneurial zeal led her to create an infrastructure development and construction company. Under her dynamic leadership, UMSL is recognised as a pan India quality project executor in the EPC sector. A pioneer, leading from the front, she stands apart as the only woman entrepreneur in Odisha, at the helm of a mega construction company.
Apart from her many philanthropic activities, she heads the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust, contributing to social and community causes, and the Sarala Award for excellence in Odia literature and the Ekalabya Award for sports. She is a passionate art patron and established the Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA), an innovative facilitator providing a platform for artists in Odisha and a key player in the promotion of contemporary art and artists in Odisha.
